How did FitGen start?

FitGen is the brainchild of a concerned mother, Chantelle Breytenbach. Her 13 year old son is a high performing swimmer.

Due to the demands of the sport, she realized that her son needed more supplementation than just following a good diet can provide. After doing extensive research on the subject, it became clear that there are no suitable sports Nutrition products for young athletes between the ages of 8 to 18 years available in South African or internationally.

Her requirements were that any supplements she chose for him needed to be safe, drug free, stimulant free, effective but still beneficial for the growing sport athlete.

In her quest to find the perfect supplementation, she met Dr Gerhard van Rooyen, a renowned Biochemist and Doctor, who specializes in natural performance supplementations.

He developed the FitGen range, which is registered with the Drug Free Association. All the FitGen products are manufactured using only the highest quality ingredients at a pharmaceutical manufacturing company, with GMP certification.

We are proud to make available, for the first time in South Africa, a product range safe for young developing athletes.
